Job description

AMD is seeking a Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to support ASIC development and complex integrated circuit layouts. The ideal candidate will work on various design aspects, including architecture, logic design, and system simulation. This position offers multiple openings and does not require prior experience.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in logic and circuit design
  • Proficiency in System Verilog and functional verification of microprocessors
  • Familiarity with design flows and methodologies used for chip verification
  • Experience with Front-End EDA tools and Unix or Linux environments
  • Knowledge of UVM, Python, CPU architecture, and Object Oriented design

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics in the design, development, and testing of AMD products
