Job description
AMD is seeking a Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role focuses on ASIC development, including architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. The engineer will also develop machine learning-driven automation for design optimization and analyze simulation data to evaluate performance metrics. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in utilizing data analysis to evaluate memory sub-system performance.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
- Knowledge of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
- Familiarity with Data Structures and Algorithms, Data Analytics, or Machine Learning.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Perform definition, design, verification, review, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Develop ML-driven automation to explore large design spaces and identify optimal configurations.
- Analyze large-scale simulation data to evaluate latency, throughput, bandwidth, and performance metrics.
- Build predictive performance models for early-cycle design validation.
- Run data-driven diagnosis to detect issues and collaborate with design teams to develop solutions.
- Apply statistical methods to analyze latency and throughput of circuits.
