Job description

AMD is seeking a Product Development Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to enhance AMD's product offerings. The engineer will work on ASIC development, automation scripts, and multidimensional designs of integrated circuits. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in performing software and hardware verification.
  • Proficiency in logic and circuit design.
  • Knowledge of Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Familiarity with C, C++, or Python programming languages.
  • Understanding of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
  • Experience in functional verification of microprocessors.
  • Knowledge of design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
  • Experience in Unix or Linux environments.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards and processors.
