Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves working on ASIC development, including architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. The engineer will also develop firmware for products such as CPUs, GPUs, and APUs while ensuring hardware/software compatibility. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in performing hardware and software verification.
  • Knowledge of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
  • Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Familiarity with C, C++, or Python.
  • Experience in logic and circuit design.
  • Ability to work in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Understanding of design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
  • Experience in functional verification of microprocessors.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Develop firmware for products such as CPUs, GPUs, and APUs.
  • Perform simulations of hardware computer architectures.
  • Contribute to the determination of hardware/software compatibility.
  • Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
