Job description
The Sr. Silicon Design Engineer at Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, is responsible for researching, designing, developing, and testing electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role requires a strong understanding of electronic theory and involves defining architecture, logic design, and system simulation. The engineer will contribute to the development of complex integrated circuits and evaluate the entire process flow from high-level designs to synthesis and timing analysis. The position offers multiple openings and emphasizes collaboration and problem-solving within defined company procedures.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience in hardware verification, RTL design and coding, and logic and circuit design.
- Proficiency in ASIC design and tools including synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, and static timing analysis.
- Knowledge of design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
- Understanding of submicron ASIC design flow and Unix/Linux environments.
- Knowledge of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
