Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to support ASIC development and complex integrated circuit designs. The engineer will work on defining architecture and module interfaces while evaluating the entire process flow from design to implementation. Requirements

  • A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • One year of experience in a related engineering position is required.
  • Experience in creating test sequences is required.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, or Python is required.
  • Knowledge of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture is required.
  • Experience in ASIC design is required.
  • Familiarity with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL is required.
  • Experience in design verification is required.
  • Understanding of data structures is required.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
  • Exercise judgment within defined company procedures to select methods and techniques for obtaining results.
