Job description
The Sr. Software Development Engineer at Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, is responsible for researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software and compilers for semiconductor operations. This role focuses on enhancing software programs and defining software requirements and architectures. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
- One year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role is required.
- Experience with LLVM Compiler Technologies is required.
- Knowledge of graphics standards such as DX, OGL, and OCL is required.
- Familiarity with GPU architecture and GPU programming is required.
- Proficiency in object-oriented design, memory management, and multi-threading is required.
- Understanding of data structures is required.
- Experience with Git and programming in C or C++ is required.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software and compilers.
- Troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
- Understand and define software requirements and architectures.
- Develop software and tools to support design, infrastructure, and technology platforms.
- Define proprietary platforms, including hardware and software components.
- Drive software and systems solutions, including development and product definitions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop systems-level software.
- Exercise independent judgment to select methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
