AMD is seeking a MTS Product Development Engineer to develop and test electrical and electronic components for semiconductor products such as GPUs, CPUs, and SoCs. The role involves managing product activities from definition through production and end of life, ensuring collaboration across design, manufacturing, and quality teams. The engineer will be responsible for both pre-silicon and post-silicon activities, including test plan development and yield data analysis. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative technology that impacts the world.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering occupation.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering occupation.
- Experience in C, C++, R or Python scripting.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as JMP and SQL.
- Knowledge of ATE and wafer sort data formats.
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and device physics.
- Experience in performing analysis of characterization and yield data for semiconductor device manufacturing.
- Experience in electrical failure analysis (EFA).
Responsibilities
- Develop and test electrical and electronic components for semiconductor products.
- Design, develop, and manage product activities from definition through production.
- Serve as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing teams.
- Understand product features and performance targeting for pre-silicon responsibilities.
- Develop end-to-end characterization test plans and highlight test flow coverage holes.
- Lead debug across disciplines and analyze characterization and yield data for post-silicon responsibilities.
- Optimize test flow for cost and quality and execute characterization plans.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics in the design, development, and testing of AMD products.
