Job description

AMD is seeking a Senior Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to support ASIC development. The engineer will work on complex integrated circuit designs and evaluate various aspects of the design process. Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in logic and circuit design.
  • Familiarity with CMOS transistor design and CAD tools.
  • Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and ASIC design tools.
  • Knowledge of static timing analysis and back-end EDA tools.
  • Experience in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Skills in TCL and C/C++, analog integrated circuit design, FPGA design, and embedded system design.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate the entire process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
