Job description

The MTS Silicon Design Engineer at Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, is responsible for defining, designing, verifying, and documenting ASIC development. This role involves determining architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, as well as contributing to the development of complex integrated circuits. The engineer will also evaluate the entire process flow from high-level design to synthesis and timing analysis. This position requires a strong background in engineering principles and the ability to resolve complex issues creatively.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
  • Experience in logic and circuit design.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and ASIC design tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, verify, and create documentation for ASIC development.
  • Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
  • Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
  • Contribute to the development of multi-dimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
  • Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
  • Analyze equipment to establish operation data and conduct experimental tests.
