Job description
AMD is seeking a Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. This role involves utilizing knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to work on ASIC development and complex integrated circuits. The engineer will evaluate process flows and apply design techniques to enhance AMD products. This position offers multiple openings and does not require travel.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in RTL design or coding.
- Proficiency in Verilog or VHDL.
- Familiarity with Front-End EDA tools.
- Understanding of CPU architecture.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design.
- Experience with memory management.
- Proficiency in Git.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Work on problems of moderate scope requiring analysis of various factors.
- Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment.
