AMD is seeking a MTS Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. The role involves overseeing ASIC development and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve complex design issues. Candidates will utilize their knowledge of electronic theory and engineering principles to drive projects of significant technical importance. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering position.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering position.
- Experience in performing hardware verification.
- Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience creating verification environments using System Verilog with UVM and AVM methodologies.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
- Knowledge of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
- Experience in pre-silicon verification.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
- Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
- Debug test failures to determine the root cause.
- Work with RTL engineers to resolve design defects and correct test issues.
- Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
- Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Review functional and code coverage metrics and modify or add tests to meet coverage requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design and analyze complex issues.
