AMD is seeking a MTS Silicon Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and testing of electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing. • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Three years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering position.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering position.
• Experience in performing hardware verification.
• Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
• Experience creating verification environments using System Verilog with UVM and AVM methodologies.
• Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
• Knowledge of CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
• Experience in pre-silicon verification.

• Research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing.
• Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
• Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
• Debug test failures to determine the root cause.
• Work with RTL engineers to resolve design defects and correct test issues.
• Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
• Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving complex integrated circuits.
• Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
• Review functional and code coverage metrics and modify or add tests to meet coverage requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ASIC/layout design and analyze complex issues.
