AMD is seeking a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Analog Design Engineer to design, develop, modify, and test analog and mixed signal components for existing and new products. The role involves utilizing various technologies to simulate and test designs, driving ASIC design flows, and analyzing complex digital design problems. The engineer will participate in collaborative projects aimed at enhancing the performance and efficiency of AMD processors. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and is part of a team dedicated to advancing technology.
Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
- Four years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in a related field and six years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and test analog and mixed signal components and integrated circuitry.
- Use required technologies and methodologies to simulate and test mixed-signal designs.
- Drive and develop ASIC design flows and scripts.
- Analyze complex digital design problems and propose solutions.
- Track signal performance and evaluate technical data to provide recommendations.
- Participate in collaborative multi-system projects to enhance processor performance.
- Propose and document specifications and modifications for analog/mixed signal circuits.
- Communicate project objectives and tasks to internal teams and provide updates to external teams.
- Drive layout and design reviews to ensure quality and risk mitigation.
- Provide technical feedback to senior technical staff and management.
