Job description

The Specialist, Consulting Programs role is integral to the Washington, DC Staffing and Program Management team, focusing on staffing, performance management, onboarding, and talent operations. This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills to support the operational and strategic talent needs of the office. The Specialist will work closely with various teams, including Human Resources and office leadership, to enhance the consulting experience. The role operates in a dynamic environment, emphasizing collaboration and effective data management.

Requirements

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience.
  • You bring three to four years of analytics and/or administrative support experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You demonstrate sound judgment and can handle highly confidential information professionally.
  • You can work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • You bring strong customer service and organizational skills and can prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • You have logical problem-solving skills and are highly adaptable when priorities change.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills are preferred.
  • You have flexibility with your working hours and are available to work occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a live, forward-looking view of staffing capacity, accounting for case kickoffs and personnel changes.
  • Maintain an up-to-date office staffing pipeline.
  • Help drive the biannual consulting staff ratings process from start to finish.
  • Administer the logistics and execution of onboarding for incoming consulting staff.
  • Own class training for the general consulting population at critical career junctures.
  • Establish and maintain a structured cadence for team engagement and alignment.
  • Serve as systems lead for resource management and performance management tools.
  • Perform data entry and maintenance in relevant systems, ensuring timely case reviews.
  • Monitor employee hours report results and trends, providing updates to relevant teams.
  • Run ad hoc reports and advanced strategic analyses for various stakeholders.
