The role at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. involves working in the Engineering Services Group, primarily focusing on support engineering for RF, analog, and digital systems. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience, or Associate's degree and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience, or High School Diploma and 4+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.
- 2+ years experience with digital hardware/software, and/or analog RF troubleshooting and debugging.
- 2+ years experience in a lab or production environment.
- 2+ years experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership.
- 2+ years experience utilizing schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
- 2+ years experience of hands-on experience working with measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
- 2+ years experience with circuit and system level tests, including set-up and execution of automated tests.
- Good communication and excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Apply basic design troubleshooting rules and processes for electronic hardware and integrated circuitry.
- Read device specification sheets and interpret details required to validate hardware design features.
- Identify ways to optimize tests and hardware designs by evaluating device performance.
- Assist in assessing complex design features to identify potential flaws and compliance issues.
- Document essential details of materials, components, chipsets, and assemblies for a device.
- Troubleshoot common issues with product designs and suggest possible solutions.
- Provide basic technical input and support for internal customers.
- Act as a tech lead on small projects with minimal guidance.
- Assist in conducting specialized analysis under the direction of more experienced engineers.
- Interface with various cross-functional teams to improve yield, productivity, and quality.
