Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Wastewater Process Project Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Orlando, Florida. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to lead design efforts and mentor junior engineers. The role focuses on wastewater treatment process and mechanical design projects, contributing to sustainable solutions in the water industry. The candidate will work in a flexible hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office work.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in water/wastewater process mechanical design is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or a related field, is required.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Experience managing the preparation, review, and approval of project documents is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and technical knowledge to develop the design team capabilities.
  • Lead project tasks in the planning, design, permitting, and construction of wastewater facilities.
  • Prepare detailed engineering calculations and utilize modeling and design software as needed.
  • Supervise and support the work of others and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with the National Wastewater Practice Leader to support technical alignment and share best practices.
