The role is for a senior mechanical engineer at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., where the candidate will be part of the global mechanical engineering team. The main focus will be on the mechanical design of electro-mechanical enclosures, including server rack platforms and consumer mobile device test platforms. The engineer will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and vendors to ensure manufacturability and timely build schedules. This position requires onsite work in San Diego, CA, and involves a variety of design projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as CREO or equivalent.
• Experience designing CNC machined, sheet metal, diecast, and injection-molded components.
• Working knowledge of mechanical documentation, tolerancing, and GD&T.

• Design and develop detailed electro-mechanical test fixtures and development platforms.
• Create detailed mechanical designs, including 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
• Interface with vendors and manufacturing partners to ensure design for manufacturability.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with dynamic multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop effective thermal, structural, and tolerance analyses of mechanical assemblies.
