Job description

Qualcomm is seeking a Principal Connectivity Project Engineer to lead the development of high-performance, low-power data center SoCs. This role involves overseeing projects from concept to commercialization and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering issues. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in semiconductor architecture and a strong background in mixed-signal design. The focus is on creating innovative solutions that meet key performance indicators in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of ASIC design experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years, or a PhD with 6+ years.
  • 15 years of experience in semiconductor product development.
  • More than 10 years of experience in one or more areas of semiconductor product development.
  • More than 5 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing high-speed Ethernet or PCIe SerDes IP or products is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee chipset development and ensure key performance indicators are met.
  • Drive resolution of all engineering issues within the chipset and across various functional blocks.
  • Identify key risks to the project and mitigate them.
  • Identify gaps in existing processes and influence the development of new methodologies.
  • Report periodically to senior management on program status, progress, gaps, and risks.
