Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled BizAI Tech Functional Engineer to join its Enterprise AI Engineering organization. This role focuses on bridging business processes with AI solutions, specifically within Finance, Sales, and SG&A. The engineer will work on translating business needs into intelligent applications and automated workflows on Qualcomm's Unified Business AI platform. The position requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA, and emphasizes collaboration with business stakeholders to enhance enterprise processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• 9+ years of experience in software/automation engineering, solutions engineering, or technical-functional roles.

• Serve as the technical-functional bridge between business stakeholders and the AI engineering team.
• Design and deliver AI-driven agents and natural-language Q&A experiences for enterprise processes.
• Build and extend workflow automations using n8n, integrating with various platforms.
• Develop and integrate against the FastAPI and micro-frontend SDK.
• Configure and tune Databricks Genie/QGenie-powered natural-language querying over governed datasets.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise governance, SOX, auditability, and data-level security requirements.
• Define and apply automation and agent standards for scalability and compliance across the enterprise.
• Support adoption through office hours and hands-on guidance for business teams.
• Collaborate on process optimization and process-mining opportunities.
