Job description

The Environmental Remediation Engineer/Scientist/Geologist position at Jacobs focuses on supporting environmental projects related to site characterization and remediation. The role involves collaboration with a team of scientists, engineers, and project managers to tackle complex environmental challenges. Based in Loveland or Denver, Colorado, the successful candidate will work on projects for both government and private-sector clients. This position emphasizes safety, compliance, and quality in delivering project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, geology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in environmental site characterization and remediation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple field activities.
  • Commitment to working safely and protecting subcontractors, coworkers, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to obtain professional certifications or licenses.
  • Current 40-hr HAZWOPER certification.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Design and perform site investigations including soil, soil vapor, groundwater, and surface water.
  • Work on remediation process systems and mine closure.
  • Support the development and management of SPCC and SWPPP programs.
  • Conduct technical report writing.
  • Develop thoughtful strategies leveraging technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
