As a CPU STA CAD engineer at Qualcomm, you will work with a talented team to enhance silicon design and create industry-leading analysis tools. Your focus will be on improving power, performance, and area for custom CPUs. You will collaborate closely with worldwide CPU physical design teams and EDA vendors to ensure optimal methodologies and resolve tool issues. This role offers the opportunity to push the boundaries of performance and energy efficiency in computing platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years.
• Industry experience in Static Timing Analysis (STA) on cutting-edge technology nodes.
• Programming and scripting skills, particularly in Python and Tcl.
• Experience in generating, optimizing, and automating timing ECO closure.
• Detailed understanding of STA concepts and their impact on margins and derates.

• Architect and recommend methodology improvements for silicon power, performance, and area.
• Maintain, support, and debug STA and timing closure flows.
• Work closely with CPU physical design teams to provide methodology guidance.
• Collaborate with EDA vendors to define roadmaps and resolve tool issues.
• Debug and support projects while adhering to deadlines.
