Job description
The Construction Project Engineer Professional Associate will work in Columbus, Ohio, and various unanticipated worksites across the United States. This role focuses on project coordination, technical support, and quality assurance within the construction sector, particularly in wastewater treatment. The engineer will interface with contractors and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The position also involves mentoring junior engineers and interns to foster professional development within the team.
Requirements
- A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 3 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Wastewater Treatment.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 5 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Wastewater Treatment.
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and drafting.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Passed the FE Civil Exam and OSHA 10-hour certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist in scope, schedule, and cost management for construction projects.
- Conduct design reviews and provide technical recommendations.
- Interface with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders during commissioning.
- Review and process submittals, RFIs, RFPs, and potential change orders.
- Conduct field visits and surveys to monitor construction progress.
- Lead quality assurance efforts with a focus on technical compliance.
- Assess CPM schedules and perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimating.
- Conduct Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections to ensure environmental compliance.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
