• A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical Engineering specialty or closely related field.
• Two years of work experience in the job offered or a related Geotechnical Engineering occupation.
• Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) (FE) certification.

• Plan and lead field assignments that include observation of explorations and installation of geotechnical instrumentation.
• Analyze field logs and laboratory testing results to assist in selecting geotechnical design parameters.
• Design shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, and other geotechnical structures.
• Perform seismic hazard analyses and prepare clear calculation packages and technical reports.
• Use various geotechnical software programs to complete engineering analysis and prepare design drawings.
