Job description

The role is within the Credit Risk team, which is responsible for managing the firm's credit exposure to trading and lending counterparties. This team evaluates financial institutions' creditworthiness and ensures that risks are mitigated effectively. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance
  • 0-3 years of experience in a financial analyst role preferred
  • Knowledge of capital markets, including derivatives and/or repo products

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate derivatives and financing transactions across Global Banking & Markets clients.
  • Review and approve risk in a fast-paced environment while ensuring appropriate mitigants are in place to minimize losses in the event of counterparty default.
  • Assess the financial strength of financial institutions by performing fundamental counterparty analysis.
  • Interpret quantitative and qualitative factors drawn from risk reports, portfolio analysis, and client calls.
  • Approve transactions across Institutional Derivatives and Funding business lines.
  • Opine on initial margin based on counterparty and trade details.
  • Drive risk conversations with respective trading and sales teams.
  • Perform counterparty reviews, recommend internal ratings, and set counterparty risk limits.
