Job description
The Vice President of Risk Governance at Goldman Sachs will lead the transformation and optimization of the Technology Risk function, focusing on enhancing the effectiveness of the information security and cyber security program. This role involves collaboration with Technology Risk and Engineering leadership to align transformation activities with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The position requires conducting Application Security Assessments and identifying vulnerabilities in software applications. The VP will also work closely with stakeholders to analyze security threats and provide consulting within the firm.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering or a related field and three years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
- Experience in technical Project Management or Program Management within the financial services or technology industry.
- Knowledge of target Operating Model (TOM), control framework, process engineering, automation and location strategy.
- Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals, risk identification, and control assessment.
- Experience working within an engineering or cybersecurity environment.
- Understanding of risk management methodologies and frameworks.
- Data analysis and visualization experience including Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation and optimization of the Technology Risk function.
- Partner with Technology Risk and Engineering leadership to align transformation activities with strategic objectives.
- Perform Application Security Assessments and communicate results to application engineers.
- Review Application Security architecture, policies, and standards definitions.
- Identify vulnerabilities in software applications to reduce security risks.
- Research new cloud services and identify secure leveraging methods for the Firm.
- Analyze security threats and risks by understanding the design architecture of software components.
- Advise component owners on secure remediation of identified issues.
- Collaborate with technical, incident management, and forensic personnel to enhance the cyber defense program.
- Provide security consulting within the Firm as needed.
