Job description

The Associate role in Fund Finance Capital Markets focuses on providing financing and capital markets solutions within the private markets ecosystem. The team is involved in various capital markets transactions, including GP financings and rated feeders. The position requires collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders to optimize financing strategies. The role also emphasizes strong financial modeling and analytical skills.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of experience in fund finance, investment banking, private credit, or structured finance.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Required Licensing includes SIE, Series 7, Series 63, and/or Series 79 (or obtained within four months of joining).

Responsibilities

  • Support the origination, structuring, and placement of fund finance capital markets transactions.
  • Diligence fund strategies, GP structures, LP portfolios, and investor bases.
  • Build financial models and prepare investor marketing materials.
  • Assist with capital markets execution, rating agency processes, and syndication activities.
  • Coordinate with clients, legal counsel, credit risk, and internal stakeholders throughout transaction execution.
  • Partner with other GS Fund Finance / Classic FIG teams to optimize financing strategies with clients.
