Meta is looking for a Critical Facility Engineer to join the Data Center Facility Operations team. This role focuses on the operation and maintenance of critical systems within data centers, ensuring high levels of uptime, efficiency, and safety. The engineer will perform hands-on tasks and collaborate with vendors to maintain equipment and systems. This position requires a commitment to technical excellence and adherence to established processes.

• 6+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or other technical maintenance field
• Associate's degree in engineering plus 4+ years experience or Bachelor's degree in related field plus 2+ years experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, or controls will be considered in lieu of 6+ years experience
• Ability to use hands and fingers
• Capability to reach, push, pull with arms, hands, and shoulders
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Ability to lift and/or otherwise move 45 pounds or more
• Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods of time
• Experience in a broad range of industries such as electrical generation, electrical distribution, cooling technologies, building control and fire protection systems

• Perform hands-on operations and maintenance tasks to ensure uptime, efficiency, and safety
• Complete work order requests accurately and on time in an enterprise asset management system
• Achieve and maintain a high-level of technical knowledge regarding data center infrastructure and operations
• Provide technical expertise and assistance as required
• Respond quickly to data center facility emergencies using established procedures
• Regularly inspect equipment, buildings, safety routes, and grounds for abnormal or unsafe conditions
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend system upgrades
• Order parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs
• Work with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with Meta processes and standards
• Escalate issues to facility management appropriately and timely
• Assist in scheduling and supervising vendors during maintenance and service
• Provide recommendations for improvements to the operations and maintenance program
• Work on a shift schedule, which may include nights and holidays
• Utilize computerized tooling to operate remote equipment and monitor system alerts
