The Red Team Engineer Intern at Tesla will focus on attacking Tesla products and services to ensure their security. This role is part of a team dedicated to protecting the infrastructure that supports Tesla's connected cars. Candidates should have a passion for security and a desire to improve systems. The internship is designed for students currently enrolled in an academic program, with a start date in early 2027.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date between 2026-2027.
• Experience with secure architecture design.
• Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) events is ideal.
• Security experience in one or more of: C, C++, PHP, Go, x86, ARM, CAN, cryptography, reverse engineering, wireless networks.
• Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities including SQLi, XSS, CSRF and exploit development.
• Strong penetration testing experience.
• Experience auditing code and features.

• Breaking everything you touch and helping us fix it.
• Conducting penetration tests against Tesla networks and services.
• Performing security assessments on third-party services and software.
• Collaborating with Engineers to develop secure services.
• Auditing source code for security vulnerabilities.
• Developing and implementing automated systems to help spot known security exposures.
