Tesla is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the Building Factory Design Team at Gigafactory 1. The role focuses on providing technical guidance and review of structural designs to ensure they are integrated with manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, construction, and experience with large projects. This position requires effective communication with multiple stakeholders and the ability to lead projects of varying complexity.

• Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering or equivalent experience
• At least 6 years of experience with increasing responsibility
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) required with ability to get NV PE license
• Ability to adapt, multi-task, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Expert knowledge of Revit MEP and proficiency with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite

• Conduct high-level reviews of structural designs to ensure quality and compliance as Engineer of Record (EOR)
• Develop and improve project workflows and standards continually
• Provide technical expertise to the CSA design engineering team and other groups
• Lead strategic decisions about technologies, materials, and processes for cost-effective construction
• Ensure designs meet construction requirements and comply with relevant regulations
• Support construction by providing field review and design guidance
• Mentor junior engineers through peer review and guidance
• Take leadership on projects of varying complexity
