Meta is seeking a Data Center Electrical Engineer to join their design engineering team, focusing on the design and operations of critical facilities. The role involves developing innovative electrical power system solutions to enhance reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in data centers. The engineer will collaborate with various teams and external vendors to ensure the successful implementation of electrical systems. This position is crucial for maintaining the operational excellence of Meta's data centers.

• Minimum seven years of hands-on design and development experience in mission critical electrical power components and systems.
• Experience in electrical power simulation software such as ETAP, EMTP, PSSE, PSCAD, Easypower, Powerworld, or Matlab Simulink.
• Knowledge of electric power industry standards, building codes, and safety standards including NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, UL, UFC, and UBC.
• Cross-disciplinary knowledge of data center electrical systems design and operation.
• Experience in designing and implementing protection and control systems.
• Effective presentation and communication skills.
• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Develop concepts for new data center infrastructure solutions focused on electrical power system technologies.
• Lead all phases of design and development life cycle of electrical systems.
• Develop collaborations with data center technology vendors and consultants.
• Collaborate with external vendors to select, procure, and manage critical infrastructure equipment.
• Manage the selection, procurement, and ongoing oversight of essential infrastructure equipment.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of new power technologies and develop specifications.
• Drive required cross-functional collaboration with other teams.
• Travel to vendor/design partner locations and data center sites for verification and validation testing.
