Meta is seeking an ASIC Engineer for the Physical Design team, which focuses on translating RTL into high-performance silicon for infrastructure and consumer hardware. The role involves driving physical design strategy for complex ASIC blocks and collaborating with various teams to meet power, performance, and area targets. The engineer will be responsible for the full physical implementation flow, from floorplanning to signoff, while also defining methodologies and best practices. This position requires a strong background in ASIC physical design and experience with advanced process nodes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in ASIC physical design, including ownership of full physical implementation flows.
• 8+ years of experience with industry-standard EDA tools for placement, routing, clock tree synthesis, and signoff.
• Experience with static timing analysis and multi-corner multi-mode closure at advanced process nodes.
• Experience defining and improving physical design methodologies and automation scripts.

• Lead physical implementation of complex ASIC blocks or full chips, including floorplanning and signoff.
• Define and drive physical design methodology and flow development across the organization.
• Perform and own timing closure, including static timing analysis and timing constraint authoring.
• Drive power integrity analysis and optimization techniques.
• Collaborate with RTL design and architecture teams to provide physical design feedback.
• Partner with custom layout and circuit design teams to integrate analog and mixed-signal blocks.
• Develop and maintain physical design scripts and automation flows to improve productivity.
• Conduct design rule checks and layout versus schematic verification.
• Evaluate and qualify new EDA tools and provide technical recommendations.
• Mentor other engineers on physical design techniques and flow improvements.
