Job description
Meta's Silicon Engineering organization is seeking an ASIC Engineer specializing in architecture, performance, and modeling. This role focuses on defining and driving architectural performance analysis and pre-silicon modeling for custom ASICs designed for Meta's infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure that silicon meets demanding performance targets. The position involves establishing methodologies and long-term strategies for silicon development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- 6+ years of experience in ASIC design, silicon engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for developing simulation models and performance analysis tools.
- 5+ years of experience in ASIC performance modeling or pre-silicon simulation for custom silicon designs.
- Experience with performance analysis of data center or AI accelerator workloads on custom silicon.
Responsibilities
- Drive microarchitectural exploration and trade-off analysis across various domains.
- Define and own the performance modeling strategy for custom infrastructure ASICs.
- Develop and maintain C++ models of AI chip IPs and subsystems.
- Establish performance analysis methodologies and benchmarking frameworks.
- Collaborate with architecture, RTL design, and physical design teams.
