This internship role is focused on designing and developing AI-powered applications for the AI Hardware team at Tesla. The team is responsible for creating custom AI chips that enhance the capabilities of Full Self-Driving and Optimus. Interns will work on optimizing performance, power, and area for chip development while collaborating with both software and hardware teams. This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in relevant fields who are eager to contribute to cutting-edge technology.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field of study with an expected graduation of 2028 or earlier.
• Expertise in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Experience with graph ML frameworks like PyG or DGL for netlists or geometric data.
• Familiarity with the latest LLM agent deployment mechanisms.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies such as Cadence Virtuoso/Spectre or Synopsys HSPICE/PrimeTime.
• Knowledge of static timing analysis, routing, formal verification, and data pipelines for circuit/simulation datasets.

• Design and develop AI-powered applications for static timing analysis and physical synthesis optimization.
• Build and maintain LLM-agent-based workflows for chip development.
• Create solutions to optimize performance, power, and area for chip designs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software and hardware teams to enhance the hardware development lifecycle.
