Job description
Meta is seeking a Global Security Design & Engineering Manager to join their Design, Engineering, and Construction team. This role focuses on advancing physical security infrastructure and building systems for Meta's data center program. The manager will create and improve design products and processes while ensuring integration of security standards across various teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project design and management within the built environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in large scale corporate, technology, or industrial design and construction.
- In-depth knowledge of building construction disciplines, including project design and delivery methodologies.
- Experience preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly reports for multiple projects.
- Experience with physical security principles and commonly used concepts and strategies.
- Experience prioritizing requests and managing projects to meet target delivery dates.
- Experience communicating technical details to all organizational levels, including non-technical personnel.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize problem statements that address Meta's business needs for the built environment.
- Create new or improve existing products, design standards, or services to deliver solutions.
- Develop annual forecasting and resource allocation strategies for design and construction services.
- Achieve consensus from stakeholders regarding the adoption of new product or design standards.
- Incorporate new products and design standards into existing workflows and processes.
- Review and arbitrate proposed product updates and standards modifications.
- Assess security risk and business risk during early project phases to influence design strategy.
- Provide administration and oversight of all vendor contracts for design and construction.
- Support integration of physical security and other building system design elements.
- Review design documents to ensure alignment with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Manage the end-to-end process of delivering physical security infrastructure projects.
- Provide administration and oversight of vendor master service agreements and contracts.
- Analyze and resolve construction process problems and issues.
- Validate construction with design documents and regulatory requirements prior to project completion.
- Assess and implement modifications to existing projects while maintaining alignment with organizational strategy.
