Job description
The Robotics and Applied Intelligence team at Apple is seeking a motivated engineer to develop automated systems that integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components. This role focuses on creating robotic and mechatronic testing solutions to ensure the quality of Apple products, particularly the Apple Watch and Accessories. The engineer will work within a diverse team to solve complex engineering challenges that have a real-world impact. The position requires strong programming skills and a collaborative spirit to meet exceptional quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in creating and using robotics and/or mechatronic systems
- Expertise in Python
- Experience debugging and troubleshooting complex mechatronic and software systems
- Experience in CADing/designing mechanical fixtures for robotic applications
- Master's or PhD in a related field is preferred
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Experience with computer vision (OpenCV) and/or AI/ML applications
- Experience with applied mathematics such as linear algebra and kinematics
- Experience using and/or creating AI tools for development or robotic applications
