The Research Sr Associate role at Citi Research involves analyzing trends in the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) market to produce insightful research. • 2-8 years of experience in the CMBS/CRE market preferred
• MBA or graduate degree and/or CFA preferred
• SIE, Series 63 & 7 licenses, or the ability to obtain them within 180 days
• Good knowledge of accounting and modeling with a credit focus
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and quantitative skills
• Experience in supporting senior research analysts
• Comfort in dealing with large data sets
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Secure and maintain applicable licenses

• Identify and analyze recent trends in the CMBS market to publish cutting-edge research.
• Assist senior team members with analysis and data requests.
• Interact with clients remotely and in person to share market views and recommendations.
• Maintain and update existing company models and create new models.
• Assist with the publication of earnings previews, initiation reports, and deep dive notes.
• Assist with client inquiries and requests, both internal and external.
• Coordinate investor meetings and conference calls with consultants.
• Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
