Job description
The Haptics team at Apple is seeking a project manager to oversee the design, integration, and launch of innovative haptic solutions. This role involves managing program execution from concept to mass production while leading cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will leverage their engineering background to ensure alignment on goals and resolve conflicts. The position requires a collaborative approach to deliver exceptional user experiences in Apple's products.
Requirements
- BS in a STEM field such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in product development, engineering, or program management.
- Experience in shipping consumer electronic systems or electronic hardware.
- Familiarity with AI tools and an interest in applying them to improve workflows.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally, typically once per year.
- Relevant industry experience in designing optical sensing hardware or project management.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience using AI agents to automate design and validation processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple global contract manufacturers and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive communications and alignment between multi-functional teams.
- Define and communicate program plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Deliver executive communications and drive the decision-making process.
- Manage engineering development builds with process teams and suppliers.
- Ensure engineering excellence and drive smart risk-taking through balanced decisions.
- Identify and resolve risks, conflicts, interdependencies, and program issues.
- Navigate unexpected changes in the program due to outside influences.
- Drive continuous improvement by looking for patterns and implementing best practices.
