Job description
Apple's Ecosystem Products & Technologies team is seeking a skilled Systems Architect to enhance user experiences and product quality across its integrated product portfolio. The role involves leading system technical designs and roadmaps while analyzing architectural trade-offs in a thermally constrained environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams to launch new accessories and features, ensuring seamless integration with Apple devices. Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate ambiguities are essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical or computer engineering or a similar field
- 10 years of interdisciplinary engineering expertise related to consumer electronics or embedded systems
- 5 years of experience developing consumer products from concept to production as a system integrator
- Solid understanding of hardware/software interaction and mechanical constraints
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Master's Degree in electrical or computer engineering or a similar field
- 10 years of product development experience in a matrix organization, preferably high volume consumer
- 3 years of experience as a technical lead or engineering manager
- Proven expertise in SoC architecture and low-power design
- Working knowledge of HW/SW interaction and operating systems
Responsibilities
- Work with multi-discipline teams to design and launch new accessories and features into the market
- Decompose user-facing features into associated enabling technologies
- Analyze engineering trade-offs and articulate recommendations to meet product goals
- Define and author system level feature descriptions and detailed functional requirements
- Shepherd product features from idea/concept to execution
- Review and challenge architectural trade-offs with data and innovative ideas
