Job description
The Vision Products Team at Apple is seeking a high-energy Hardware Engineering Project Manager (EPM) to lead hardware product development for the Apple Vision Pro. This role involves guiding cross-functional engineering teams to achieve design and schedule goals. The EPM will coordinate closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure timely release of hardware subsystems. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience in consumer electronics
- Demonstrated ability to work through system-level development tradeoffs
- Proven track record of managing complex hardware product schedules and engineering builds
- Proactive and highly self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Experience with camera systems, display and optics technologies, and/or wearable consumer electronics
- Program or project management experience
Responsibilities
- Own and track engineering development schedules for hardware subsystems
- Coordinate the release of designs with electrical and mechanical engineering teams
- Act as the primary point of contact with vendors and contract manufacturers to establish daily build plans
- Provide clear direction and guidance to meet program and build objectives
- Support development builds with a willingness to travel internationally
- Drive collaboration among a diverse set of cross-functional team members
