The Messaging Identity Server team is responsible for providing identity and discovery backend services that enhance messaging experiences across Apple devices. This small but impactful team tackles challenges related to account authentication, identity access management, and messaging addressability. The role seeks a strong technical engineer who is passionate about product innovation and delivering exceptional customer experiences. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership over their work.

• At least 3 years of backend software engineering experience
• Experience in Java, Go, C#, or similar languages
• Experience in building large-scale, highly-available cloud services
• Experience with distributed database systems such as Cassandra
• Good understanding of multi-threading, non-blocking I/O, and networking concepts
• Experience with applied cryptography including encryption, key exchange, hashing, and certificates
• Familiarity with identity, authentication, and authorization systems at scale
