Job description
The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer will be part of Apple's Information Systems and Technology organization, specifically within the Employee Experience and Productivity team. This role focuses on building tools that enhance productivity and collaboration for Apple's global workforce. The engineer will work primarily with back-end technologies such as Drupal and Symfony while also developing user-friendly front-end interfaces. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage projects autonomously.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Symfony and Drupal, including complex custom module development.
- Proven ability to own production applications end to end, from concept and architecture through deployment.
- Experience applying secure coding practices across the stack, including input validation and access control.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong SQL skills, including optimizing and debugging queries to improve performance.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship secure, scalable Drupal and Symfony applications.
- Build user-friendly, accessible front-end interfaces that meet accessibility standards.
- Scope work with business partners and manage priorities and customer feedback.
- Drive delivery of projects end to end without day-to-day direction.
- Integrate applications and authentication using OAuth, SAML, and single sign-on.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
