Job description
The SOC/ASIC FE Implementation Engineer role at Apple involves working within a dynamic team focused on defining methodologies and flows for SOC design. The engineer will be responsible for front-end integration activities and improving synthesis quality of results. This position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure effective chip design and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field plus 3 years of industry experience is required.
- Expertise in digital design integration, synthesis, UPF, timing analysis, and closure.
- Experience with scripting languages like Perl, Tcl, or Python.
- Familiarity with modern AI tools and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Drive all front-end integration activities including Integration, Synthesis, UPF, Logical Equivalence, and ECO.
- Work closely on methodology improvements for enhancing synthesis quality of results.
- Engage in low power design by writing UPFs and verifying power intent at the chip level.
- Conduct RTL integration, timing constraints, and synthesis of designs.
- Collaborate with other engineers in SOC Design, SOC Design Verification, Emulation, STA, Power, and Physical Design teams.
