Job description
As a GPU Design Engineer in the Silicon Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and systems-on-chip. You will work on crafting a GPU that enhances the user experience of Apple products, ensuring they perform seamlessly. This position requires creativity in problem-solving and the ability to adapt to new technical challenges. You will collaborate closely with the verification team to ensure functional simulation and debugging.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, and HDL.
- Knowledge of logic design fundamentals.
- Understanding of computer architecture fundamentals.
- Familiarity with CPU or GPU architecture.
- Knowledge in areas such as cache design, on-chip interconnect network, data compression, or shader processor.
- Understanding of high performance, low power designs.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Ruby.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
Responsibilities
- Participate in micro-architecture specification and RTL coding.
- Explore architecture trade-offs in performance, area, and power consumption.
- Collaborate with the verification team for functional simulation and debugging.
- Demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and adapt to new technical areas.
