Job description
The Process Engineer at re:Cycle Reverse Logistics will support the Reverse Logistics program by enhancing global engineering capabilities. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve processes through data analysis, software integration, and hardware design. The position emphasizes lean manufacturing methodologies and aims to optimize processes for efficiency and safety. The engineer will also be responsible for project management and ensuring clear communication among stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- 3+ years of experience using reporting and analytical tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Minitab.
- Experience and knowledge of line assembly/disassembly processes.
- Advanced knowledge in the administration of warehouse management systems or shop-floor systems.
- Excellent critical and creative thinking skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles including process flows and kaizen.
- Experience with line automation and sortation systems is an advantage.
- Practical experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology.
Responsibilities
- Define, oversee, and drive design of experiments to iterate on processes.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to improve processes.
- Identify and define new processes as necessary.
- Develop detailed user and functional requirement documents for project success.
- Ensure exceptional customer obsession and clear communication skills.
- Develop documentation such as SOPs, visual aids, and RAMS for safe handling.
- Develop and review process flow mapping for optimal processes.
- Implement RACI charts to clarify stakeholder responsibilities.
- Manage projects to ensure stakeholders are informed and eliminate ambiguity.
