The Apple Data Platform team is seeking an experienced engineer to lead the Data Lakehouse team, which provides a managed Lakehouse solution for data at scale. This role involves guiding team members in their technical and professional growth while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the experience for Apple's internal customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data infrastructure and a passion for building reliable and user-friendly products. • 10+ years of experience in design and development of scaling and operation of distributed systems.
• Proficient in Java or Scala.
• Proficient in Apache Iceberg and Iceberg Rest Catalog specification.
• Proven expertise in designing and developing scalable, reliable APIs.
• Expertise in public cloud platforms like AWS, S3, EKS, IAM.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
