Job description
The Family Services team at Apple is seeking a technical leader to design and build the infrastructure that powers family features across various Apple platforms. This role involves creating robust frameworks that enable seamless family experiences for users worldwide. Requirements
- Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong programming skills with object-oriented design expertise and a track record of building production software
- Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to influence technical direction and drive improvements
- Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and experience crafting scalable service architectures
- Expert-level understanding of distributed systems, including consistency models, concurrency, fault tolerance, and large-scale system design
Responsibilities
- Design and build the infrastructure that powers Apple's family features across iOS, macOS, visionOS, watchOS, and tvOS
- Create generic, reusable solutions that work across multiple use cases
- Architect systems that handle intricate family lifecycle scenarios with elegance and correctness
- Make critical architectural decisions that affect how teams across Apple build family features
- Collaborate with client framework teams and numerous service teams to ensure effective infrastructure development
