Job description
This position is for a software engineer on the Payments team at Twitch, where you will help build and scale payment solutions that support millions of creators. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver customer-focused projects. The role emphasizes high ownership of services, from architecture to operation. The team is based in San Francisco, CA, and is dedicated to empowering live communities through effective payment systems.
Requirements
- 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or prior relevant engineering experiences
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, data modeling and schema design
- Proficient experience level in one or more of the following languages: Go, Ruby, Java, C++
- Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem
- Experience in the commerce or payments domain
- Experience creating detailed technical documentation
- Twitch user, broadcaster, or partner or experience in the gaming industry
Responsibilities
- Work with technical leads and other engineers to design and develop the commerce/payments platform and services
- Contribute to customer-focused project deliveries
- Work with other teams to clarify product requirements
- Improve engineering processes
- Participate in design and code reviews
