Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Chip System Software team, which develops Linux platform software for next-generation AI-RAN and Software-Defined RAN solutions. The role focuses on building and maintaining the Linux software platform that powers NVIDIA's AI products. The engineer will work across the complete software stack and collaborate with various teams to deliver secure and reliable software releases. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience developing Linux system software or platform software.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems, kernel architecture, and system internals.
- Experience with Linux package management (Debian/Ubuntu and/or RPM), software integration, and release engineering.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and software build systems.
- Experience debugging Linux kernel, boot, driver, or platform-related issues.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer-ready Linux distributions, installation images (ISO), and software packages.
- Integrate NVIDIA software, drivers, and third-party components into Canonical Ubuntu and RHEL platforms.
- Develop and maintain build automation, CI/CD pipelines, and software release processes.
- Configure, integrate, and validate Linux kernels and BSPs for commercial SoC platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux platform, kernel, driver, and software integration issues.
- Collaborate with Canonical, Red Hat, silicon vendors, and internal engineering teams to enable new platform capabilities.
