Job description
The Digital Assets Data Lead is responsible for building and scaling the data foundation for Fidelity Digital Asset Management (FDAM). This role focuses on the design, ingestion, modeling, management, and delivery of data, ensuring that the right data is available for various business use cases. The team is dedicated to delivering innovative digital asset investment solutions and combines expertise in investment, research, and operations. The successful candidate will leverage their data engineering skills and domain knowledge of digital assets to transform complex datasets into valuable insights.
Requirements
- Experience in data engineering, data management, analytics engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience building and scaling enterprise data platforms.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, and metadata management.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud data architectures and data engineering tooling.
- Demonstrated experience translating business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Experience working with large, complex, and unstructured datasets.
- Experience within digital assets, blockchain, fintech, market data, or quantitative investment environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, ingestion, modeling, management, and delivery of data across FDAM and partner organizations.
- Establish frameworks, standards, and architecture for transforming fragmented data sources into accessible assets.
- Partner with engineering and enterprise data organizations to leverage existing datasets and identify solutions for new datasets.
- Serve as FDAM’s primary authority on data sourcing, organization, modeling, and governance.
