The Investment Engineer, Overlay Solutions role at Parametric focuses on enhancing the quality of data, analysis, and content for portfolio management. This position supports portfolio managers by providing high-quality analysis and content tailored to client needs. The role involves maintaining and improving internal investment processes while also generating new analyses based on strategic initiatives. The Investment Engineer will work closely with both the Portfolio Management and Research teams to ensure effective communication and data integrity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of the investment industry and related quantitative methods
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or related programming languages is preferred
- Graduate degree and/or CFA is preferred
- Understanding of Overlay Solutions and related investment instruments
- Direct experience with derivative instruments, including swaps, options, and futures is required
- Experience with Quantitative Investment Strategies offered by investment banks is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize, and coordinate simultaneous projects with high attention to detail
- Must take initiative and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Resourceful with a can-do attitude and willingness to apply creative problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and use new technology and coding languages
Responsibilities
- Work with key stakeholders in Overlay Solutions to enhance existing investment analysis processes and develop new quantitative content.
- Serve as a liaison between Portfolio Management and Research to support quantitative content for Overlay Solutions.
- Develop and maintain familiarity with clients, investment offerings, and market positioning.
- Implement automation to increase team efficiency and improve scalability of client analysis and content generation.
- Ensure consistent processes and data integrity controls to support the Portfolio Management team.
- Serve as a key contact for the production of client deliverables.
- Arrange training for investment professionals to ensure high-caliber client support and understanding of analyses.
- Act as a technical resource for the Portfolio Management Team, handling standard and ad hoc requests.
- Participate in related tasks to support clients or strategic initiatives as needed.
